Hi there,

today I installed the demo jamstix, using cubase sx3. I tried an existing (!) midi-projekt (because I'd like to use jamstix not only to design rhythm, but also to be controlled by existing material for using jamstix's samples) and switched midi-out to jamstix, but I hear - nothing!
What do I wrong?

The next is, when I try to change drum maps, jamstix wants to open:
M:\Superior\Drummer\drummer.dll

but this file is not existent. Then after activating metronome cubase and jamstix crashed!

Let's do a step-by-step to eliminate certain factors:

- open a new project in Cubase
- add Jamstix to the VST rack
- click 'free jam' in the Jamstix jam tab
- press Play in Cubase

After a few beats you should hear drums playing. Let me know if this works for you.

You tried to open a DFHS mapping. Those require you to have toontrack DFH Superior installed.

That's an odd one. Let's get you up and going with sound and then we'll revisit this issue.

in a new projekt jamstix runs. Also with audio. And I did midi-exporting - well.
But now I deleted all connections and the virtual instruments and added it new and its running now. One thing remains - on the page mapping I clicked on audit then a warning "disabled" occured an jamstix mutes.

I have some general questions also:
Is it possible to "bind" velocity to a part in the arrangement or is the only way to control it through midi?
Do you sell a german box version with printed manuals?

This seems to happen with the demo under certain circumstances where Jamstix feels 'modified in memory' and disables itself.

Please try this jamstix.dll and see if it helps: http://66.235.201.50/demos/jamstixX6-6demo.zip

You can also control velocity in the host using VST automation with the 'Velocity' parameter.

We do not sell boxed versions at all, only downloadables with HTML and PDF manuals. We are working on a German translation of the PDF manual, which should become available early next year.

Thanks, wenn I klick audit, there is no problem, but after I tried to "load" on the rhythm-page, jamstix was disabled.

seems to be working now. Thanks!

In the manual I found this: This is a key word jam that requires BFD to be installed. It is dedicated to one of the most influential drummers in rock music history.

What is BFD? O, I found - a library from fxpansion, right?

Yes, BFD is a drum sound library from fxpansion. Jamstix has mappings and features to specifically support BFD and other high-end drum libraries.
