I've got a song with a verse length of 16 bars (or 8x2, haven't decided which works better yet) but all except the first verse finish a bar early and go into a 4-bar pre-chorus, giving an effective length of 10 bars for that section.
I'd like to keep the verses linked but I can't change the length of a linked part. What I want is a 4-bar verse, followed by a 3-bar, same pattern but shorter.
How do I do this and keep the consistency? |

| Linked parts are identical. What I would do in that situation is to create a 7 bar verse then afterwards create a manual fill on bar 4 as a repetition fill and another on bar 7 as a transition fill if you wanted the standard fills. |

| Got it going nicely. Padded out the first (normal) verse with extra bars, settings copied over. Nice one. You know, I think I'm beginning to get the hang of this beast... |
