Hello,
My DAW is Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio. I love the Jamstix sounds.!! I only use JS in Midi Playback Mode to mouse click and build my own drum tracks in piano roll. Question 1: There is not a "Save Song " option in Midi Playback mode. How do I save and reload that song? All notes (sounds) are still there when I recall it but I can only hear the track if I go back to the "Midi Playback Mode". Is that how JS is designed or am I missing something? Will that be an issue when I finally render this down to a stereo format? Question 2: I can't figure out to change the output configuration in JS. My DAW is set up to enable all 8 channels of JS, but all drums still reside in channel 1 of the DAW. I've went to the "Kit Menu" and selected the 8 channels and changed the output for each instrument in the "Brain" to where I would like it routed. I would like all the kicks on Channel 1, all Snares on channel 2, all HI Hats on channel 3 and so on.
Thanks So Much!! |

I'm not familiar with Mixcraft so I can't really offer much there but if you're creating your Drum track in Mixcraft's piano roll, you'll have to save and reload it in Mixcraft if Jamstix is being used in Midi Playback mode.
For the output channel issue, it sounds like you have "Downmix" enabled in the Jamstix Mixer window. |

Thanks So Much Azimuth!!
I totally missed the "Downmix" part of the manual. That did it. Also, yes I always save everything I've done in the DAW quite often, so I'm assuming that when I reopen the project I will just always go back to "Midi Playback" in JS to hear the track, which is completely fine!
Thanks So much Again!! |
