|
|
Hi!
I have a problem, that I have no idea where to look at solving that.
The situation: I insert Jamstix into REAPER with REAPER building the 8 stereo out. Works brilliantly, except for the snare. The snare within jamstix works perfectly, I can control this in clicking "downmix" in the Jamstix mixer, but on output #2 in REAPER there is no snare.
I tried the whole procedure 4 times from scratch, no snare. Everything else works as expected.
I am convinced, that I have overlooked something completely idiotic. If this would be a bug in Jamstix, anyone would have posted something about it. But obviously I am the only one with exactly that problem, so guess whose fault is? Nobody's fault but mine... I guess.
Can someone please help with that problem? I think I remember at some point in the past that all worked flawlessly... |

| Can you reproduce the problem and send me the Reaper project so I can look at it? Way too many variables to try and solve it by typing. |

Yes, easy to reproduce the problem, because it's under all circumstances the same.
I try to put it in here...
Wait for it... got it:

I hope that works for you.
Many thanx in advance! |

Thank you for your service, Sir!
So now I have to head over to the REAPER forum, because every time I now insert a multi-out instrument the pins for 3/4 are off... and I have no idea why that is.
And it does that only with Jamstix. Kontakt, Hypersonic are comlete OK after inserting with multi-outs.
Hm.
So, a post-it on the monitor, reading: Check the FX-pins!

| That is really strange and I have no idea why only Jamstix would be affected. I'll play around and see if I can find some way to replicate it because now I'm curious. |

I just loaded this Reaper project and see what you describe. I saved the JS file to my HD.
I then created a new project, added a track, added JS4 and loaded the JS file and it was as expected. Seems like there is something about the original project that JS does not like.
A_Z do you see this too if using a new Reaper project? |

Hi Brian,
Yeah there is nothing wrong with the JS song, the problem with the pins being disconnected had to have been done in/or Reaper related somehow. Still haven't found any way to replicate it other than manually disconnecting the pins in the connector. |

Yes, that is what I have found too. Still experimenting... there is something with my REAPER installation, but it is - at least for now - beyond any idea what is going on there.
But thanks to you I can handle this now. I have saved the whole thing as a track template and that is fine when it's loaded. So problem solved without knowing what has caused it.
Thanks again. |
