anyway for jamstix to rememver the folder where the external VSTi is kept? or maybe have a default extrenal module, instead of using the file selector?

I ask because I am playing with the demo and use the file selector to select a VST, then I went and imported a midi file. Next time I ran the demo and selected the external VSTi, the directory defaulted to where the midi file is.

make sense?

thanks - cool plugin !

Not sure if I fully understand but have you tried the Load/Save buttons in the mapping tab instead of the External VSTi switch?

Here's how it works:

Once you've set up an external VSTi in Jamstix the way you want it, hit SAVE and save it to a mapping file. Jamstix will save the entire sound setup including the data inside of the external VSTi in that file.

Next time you want to load the VSTi, just hit LOAD (don't touch the External VSTi switch) and select the mapping file. All will be recalled as it was and the External VSTi switch will be flipped automatically.

Does that help?

gotcha , will try that way instead. Thanks for the tip.

another small question. I use dual monitors. I like to keep the VSTi I am working on monitor #2. When the file selector dialog box opens, it is always in the center of monitor #1. Any way to set it so it opens in the window where jamstix is?

Thanks for the fast reply!

It's on the list now.
