I’m contemplating a new DAW and wondering about making the jump to Win 11.
Jamstix 4 is a must-have for me - can anyone confirm or deny Windows 11 compatibility? Any known issues?
Apologies if this is a retreading old ground - I thought I had seen another thread on this but now can’t find it… |

I haven't had any problems and I updated to W11 back in the fall (a month or so after the release maybe?).
It actually seems better to me. Things seem to run very smoothly.
I didn't have much trouble with W10 either though... _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. Jamstix 3.6. Absolute 3 VST. 418 Carrier Landings.

| I was going to respond but since I have no firsthand experience I figured I should wait for someone who did to reply. I have not heard of any reports of existing VST/VSTi having any issue with Win 11. I couldn't check for myself since Microsoft has deemed my 6 year old Surface unworthy of their new OS. |

The upgrade PC Health Check tool actually pinned the CPU as the item not meeting requirements. _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. | I decided to look into workarounds for Win 11 installation and it can be done easily if desired. I'm not sure if I've seen anything interesting enough in Win 11 yet to bother though, to be perfectly honest. |

I agree that W11 is not worth going out of one's way to get it.
It looks almost the same. There are probably some aspects that I don't use that are better.
I will say I like the W10 Start Menu better. In W10 you could organize the icons into folders or use different sized icons, etc. In W11 you can just paste them into the area set aside for them and you can arrange them but not into groups or different sizes, etc. Plus, there is a bunch of space at the bottom for Recently Opened Files which, even if you turn that option off, the space is still wasted with a message that says something like, "Here is where your recently opened files would be displayed. If you want them, turn them on in settings." I wonder who on the development team came up with that awesome idea? Hopefully, some future updates will bring some more customization options. _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8.
