I downloaded and installed latest version of Reaper 64bit.

How do I get started here?

I added Jamstix 3 as instrument to a MIDI track. It asks if I want to route a bunch of channels.

If I select yes or no then run the wizard and load a song, it only plays a single note from each measure.

When I was using Acid, it never asked anything about routing options. It just loaded Jamstix and I could run the wizard and go to town.

1) Right click in the left pane (called the Track Control Panel or TCP)
2) Choose "Insert virtual instrument on new track".
3) In the FX browser that opens, choose Jamstix 3 or 4 from the "All Plugins" or
"VSTi" category.
4) Click Yes to accept the routing.
5) Build your song in JS3 "Wizard" or JS4 "Song Builder".
6) TURN OFF "Downmix" in the JS mixer.
7) Press Play.

I thought I had already replied to this about my success.

I believe the problem was related to my interface being the default Windows audio device. That caused Reaper to disconnect from my USB mixer whenever I alt-tabbed out.

I did some fiddling in the settings for recording devices. I enabled the "stereo mix" device and set my mixer to be default microphone device.

In the properties for each "microphone" I specified which audio output device listened to which microphone. There are no more conflicts and I can tab in and out and play audio from other applications at the same town.

This was in Windows 7 64 bit.
