|

I'm using tripleplay guitar as a midi controller in cakewalk daw. Whenever I turn on the controller the jamstix volume gets turned down to almost nothing. Is there a setting in Jamstix that could be allowing this?

When you say "Volume", do you mean Song Power or Master Volume in the Jamstix Mixer? Your midi controller has to be sending some CC that Jamstix is set up to listen to for controlling whichever parameter you are referring to. Check out the documentation on your controller and see if it sends specific CCs on powering up. If so, then set Jamstix to ignore the one causing the issue.

Yes sorry, the power in the left upper corner of jamstix will go down to like 7 percent.

Right click the Song Power knob and in the Map Midi Controllers window that opens is Song Power assigned to a CC? If so, assign it to "None" at the top of the controller list.

I discovered that I bump the volume knob on the guitar midi controller when I pick up my guitar and that makes the change in jamstix.

In Cakewalk, you may want to check to see what Jamstix is set to recieve MIDI info from. Sometime CW will assign midi to devices by default that you have no idea how or why it got sent/connected that way.
