| I use jamstix with DFHS and love it. I want to use dfhs as a seperate vst outside of jamstix using the mid out only function. Used in this way will I still get the l/r snares and l/r toms that I get when using dfhs inside of jamstix? Are there any differerences....ie.... drawbacks or advantages of one method over the other? |

You'll get the same results, no difference.
Just make sure to first load the DFHS mapping inside of Jamstix (with MIDI-Out Only off) so you can open the DFHS GUI inside of Jamstix and save the kit to a .dfh file. After that, you can load DFHS mappings with MIDI-Out Only checked and drive an "outside" DFHS with the .dfh file loaded. That way you can be sure that key assignments etc. are identical.
I find loading DFHS into Jamstix is quicker and easier to manage but loading it outside is more flexible on the DFHS output routing/handling and alternate MIDI input to the DFHS. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
