Twice now I've built out my song, tweaked everything and been happy with the results, then decided to either insert a part or add a part at the end and it just won't take.

I have no problem adding, editing and previewing the new part, but when I play the full song it doesn't reflect the addition. The song just stays the same length. For example, it's 76 bars, I add a 4 bar part and it shows 80 bars in JamStix. However, when I play the song in Reaper, JamStix only goes through bar 76 while everything else goes through 80.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Maybe the answer is staring me in the face, but I'm too far into the weeds to see it.

Hi Scott,

I'm grasping at straws here but is there any chance you might have a time signature change in Jamstix that isn't reflected in Reaper or vice versa? Could you post a link to a screenshot of the Reaper project with the Jamstix GUI visible perhaps to see if anything unusual stands out?

No time change that I can see, certainly none intentional. I'm still doing very basic stuff and allowing the brain to do the heavy lifting. Easy to work around, but would like to avoid, if it's something I'm doing.

Will be starting a new song soon and will see if I can recreate. Will document along the way.

Are they any “Loops to Here” boxes checked in the Parts or Loop Modes turned on in the settings?

None that I can see, definitely none intentionally.

What's weird is that it plays fine all the way through in JamStix, but it's like the DAW is playing the previous version. I didn't freeze/render the JamStix track. I have no doubt it's something I'm doing, just difficult to pinpoint what I'm doing that triggers it.

I'm gonna be more methodical on my next song and see if I can't try and catch it when/if it happens or at least closer to when it shows itself.

I use Cubase and Studio One but if you can post or Private Message me a link to the Jamstix Song file, I will take a look at it and see if it plays through.

I tried saving the song to a file, but it says the feature isn't available for the evaluation version.

Is there another way I can get you a song file or link to it?

Not that I'm aware of if you can't save it.

I figured that was the case. Loses its teeth, if there's an easy backdoor.

Honestly, it's been easy to work around. Starting my third song and no issues so far.
