I want to recreate a static drum loop, which has kick, snare, and hats.
It's an audio file, which I'm trying to replicate with midi, and then have
Jamstix create embellishments. I want to post the sample here to get
advice, but I just can't figure out how to do that.
I'm pretty sure that I'm missing something basic. But anyway, how do
you do it?

Have you tried using the Style "Jamstix Classic?"

In th3e Groove Tab just to the right of Brain select 'Style' and that will bring up another window that you can select a Style from. Click 'Special Styles' and select 'Jamstix Classic' then click load.

This will bring up a grid that will allow you to create almost any type of beat you want. It looks very simple, and I dismissed it when I first started using JS. But this is really a very powerful tool.
