| Planning on getting a new computer, how hard is it going to be to get jamstix4 working on the new one? I'm dreading all the licensed vst plugins I'll have to deal with. Any advice is welcome. |

| As far as Jamstix is concerned, download the Jamstix Manager app (https://www.rayzoon.com/#free_version), enter your Customer Key and let it download and install your authorized installs. If you are using the free version, just enter "free" (no quotation marks) for your Customer Key. Hope this helps. |

| Nowadays it is very easy with the manager. Years ago was a pain, but the suffering people was heard. |

| Just want to say I'm loving Jamstix, I don't miss having a real drummer all that much. Finding it pretty easy to get a song up and going. I think my only complaint is it's hard to get a good intro fill, I wish it would default to a realistic sounding one. I think a lot of it is I still don't understand how to manipulate some of the settings to get what I want. |

Hi,
No need to de-authorize the old computers installation, just set up the new one.
Jamstix comes with a whole folder of different fills, C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4\data\fills. You can preview, choose and load one by:
1) Choosing the Bar in the Timeline
2) Open the Fill window.
3) Bar button dropdown>Load Fill.
4) Add the Folder indicated above if it isn't there already.
5) Use the Preview checkbox to preview various fills.
6) Double click or use the Import button to add it to the Bar.
As I said in my other post, you can also just use a one Bar Drum Solo song part for an Intro, something I do often. |

| So when I install cakewalk and jamstix on the new computer do I have to manually move the jamstix performance files to the new computer? |

Yes but there's nothing to it. Just copy the following items:
C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4\data\songs\*.j2d
You might want to also copy (if you created any):
1) Custom Kits: C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4\data\kits\@ User Kits\*.j2k
2) Style Presets: C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4\data\styles\@ User Styles\*.jxs |

| I have no idea why that would be but it doesn't matter. Just copy the file with the extensions I listed wherever you find them. I suggest using Voidtools Everything to speed the search process up. Indispensable program in my opinion. |

Hey I found everything, I guess there were a couple I didn't name. Thanks so much for the help.
I gotta say the transition of all my plugins to the new computer has been even more painful than I thought, I have a headache. |

| Make sure to create a disk image after you get everything set up so you only have to go through it once if disaster strikes. |
