I'm trying to recreate a the character of a particular drum set. I really want to use a sample of the kick and snare,
but use the Jamstix kit pieces for everything else.
Sample import would be the easiest, and probably the best way to do that. Any chance that this feature could be added to Jamstix? |

Update: I found a decent way to get the result I need.
Click on the KIT toolbar, and then right click on the kit piece of interest.
There is an option to set the individual kit piece to output MIDI ONLY.
Then, on another track, have the desired drum VIt loaded, and set
its input as Jamstix. Then, in the 2nd drum VI, mute all the kit pieces
except the one you want to play.
It took me while, but I figured it out. So basically, you can have a mix
between Jamstix kit pieces and another drum VI- it isn't 100% either-or.
Very cool!
* This might be in the manual somewhere...I probably just missed it. |
