I would be very interested in being able to audition MIDI events when editing in the Groove Bar. (It helps while in the process of testing grooves on an external drum vst and you want feedback on changing or adding sounds in the groove). Is there a way presently?

While I'm thinking about this I would just casually mention that I personally would like to be able to lock the mixer & keymap during a "song build". It seems that during the load kit operations there is a way to lock mixer/outputs/keymap. Is there any way to get a default behavior or some other workaround where the mixer/outputs/keymap isn't effected when doing a Song build? The reason I ask is that I sort of intuitively think of first setting up the general mixer approach while selecting the kit and style and player, and then once I'm done with all that I think about building a song. I think the approach that was intended however, is one where selecting the song structure is done first, along with the drumstyle/drummer/drum kit. I need to get used to that workflow - right now it hasn't clicked but hopefully it will because I imagine it would take untenable programming effort to change.

The way I personally work, I don't like to have an entire song structure because its just way too many elements to cycle thru (I suppose I could use the preview function to do it, but that doesn't let me audition other tracks in the DAW.) Personally, when I've sculpted a few measures and possibly added in elements of other tracks (lets say in some soul groove that includes keys) then I'm likely to want to build further elements, happy already with the drumstyle/drummer & drum kit. Then when I go into the BUILD menu, it doesn't list my current drumstyle/drummer/drum kit. It does, however, provide the option to change these at that time. I had to catch myself and re-think my assumptions. I hope this doesn't come across as unappreciative. I very greatly appreciate the work that's gone in to this fantastic software. Its right up there with "Jammer" from the early 2000's.
