I'm just trying to make sure I understand this. If I import a MIDI file of a drum track that was created in Guitar Pro, there's really no 'feel' to it in the first place, and the placement of all the 'notes' are on specific beats and subdivisions, so it shouldn't really matter if you quantize the importing of that file or not.... right?

If the MIDI drum track was created by someone playing a keyboard or e-drum kit, it *would* have a feel to it because the person who created is human and not a machine, so quantizing it would remove the feel, and not quantizing it would leave it in its natural state.

Am I correct in all of the above?

Yes but I'd say it like this:

Only if you want to absolutely preserve the timing feel of the import should you disable quantize. Quantizing allows you to apply the feel processing of the drummer model as needed.

Here is the really important stuff! If you want Jamstix to do what it does best, model a real drummer, this info matters.
