I guess I would like there to be an option that would keep the key map setting unchanged, just like it keeps the mixer and kit unchanged. The reason is that here I have a song that I created using Superior Drummer. This was before working out the best key map for BFD3, which sounds better to me in this case. If I could load the song (into my project that uses a custom BFD3 mapping) without reverting to its particular custom SD3 mappings, I would be able to listen to how severe the differences are and figure out whether to export or better if possible to just use the old key map and eliminate the toms (which are the problem).

That load function does not change MIDI keys assigned. Did you dbl-check that keys actually changed?
