|
|
Hi,
I'm a new user of Jamstix and trying to understand the basics.
I have made this simple groove from scratch, all knobs has been set to zero:
Then I have moved busy kick value from 0% to 18% and pattern has been changed. After that I have changed Busy value to 19% and back to 18%, but surprisingly I have got a completely different kick pattern for 18%. Every next change 18-19-18 have caused next unique pattern. See the looped video here:
I must admit I don't understand this behavior. Is it a feature or bug? Can I make this rock stable/fully predictable?
Thanks for your advice. |

| That is normal. When you move a Brain control, Jamstix issues a "Recompose" command and the part will be recomposed based mainly on the control moved but not exclusively. Other elements of the groove can be modified if they are not locked. |

| OK, so if I like a current groove but I still want to try slightly different values of Busy (or any other) parameter then I have to use "Save restore point" as first, right? |

| Always a good idea to save restore points and the first thing I do always when making changes to something I'm already happy with. |
