Hi I'm hoping someone can help out...
in Jamstix 4 If I have a pattern I am happy with that the brain has made. If I want to change the snare hits to side stick hits for say just the verses (Not the whole song) what is the best way to go about doing that?

Many thanks
b.

In the Brain, set the Max Power of 'Auto Snare' all the way left.

This doesn't work if the bars are locked. I just went in and selected the snare hits and changed them to sidestick.

You can't change anything in a bar that's locked, that's the idea. Unlock it and then set the slider and re-lock your bar.

If he locked it to prevent recomposition, then it may actually best to do what he did and just multi-edit the sounds manually.

Will adjusting the Auto Snare slider issue a recomposition? I've never noticed it doing that before.

You're right, I need more coffee! I also stated incorrectly to move the slider all the way left.

The correct way is to move the slider all the way to the right. This will work even for locked bars since 'Auto Snare' is a play filter and not a composition effector.

Okay, that does work even with locked bars.
Kind of counterintuitive to move the slider right for some reason, though. I guess I'm thinking of it as a power control.

And by the way, you CAN select a different instrument even if the bars are locked.
