Jamstix is the best.
They: "Where did you get those loops?" Me: "What loops?"
They: "Who played the drums?" Me: "The computer"
I am having some minor problems in Studio One 4. I've got a song built, all of the fills and stops and rolls are perfect. I've tried two ways to get the data to an Addictive Drums track.
1. Click on the song title and drag. Sometimes it works, usually it crashes. It never works twice without restarting Studio One.
2. Save the mid and drag it to from Windows Explorer to the AD2 track. This never crashes, but it has a different problem. While working today I added a fill at a certain spot. That fill does not get saved to the MIDI file. It plays in jamstix, but not in AD2 driven by the exported MIDI file. Very strange.
One last question: How does one choose the correct AD2 output mapping for the Black Velvet kit? What does "Black Velvet Tom(4) Cr-Ch-Ch-Cr-Sp-Sp-CB" mean?
Thanks! |

What about recording the Jamstix MIDI output to a MIDI track in S1 in real time? _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. Jamstix 3.6. Absolute 3 VST. 418 Carrier Landings.

Black Velvet Kit, 4 Toms, Crash-China-China-Crash-Splash-Splash-Cowbell I assume. I don't have AD. |

Azimuth is correct on the mapping abbreviations.
Concerning the MIDI, we will release an update very soon that fixes some issues with missing notes in MIDI export.
Generally speaking, I recommend to just route the JS MIDI output to the input of a 3rd party plugin, i.e. AD, instead of a hard MIDI export. It's just faster in the workflow and you can always hand-edit notes in the JS bar editor if necessary. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
