Hi everyone. This is my first Drum program, and the first plugin I've ever purchased.
I went through a tutorial, but it was done for JS3. Some features I can't seem to do in JS4.
1) Moving pieces away from the center to be used less or more often. I can't seem to drag away.
2) Moving parts to Ableton can only be done 1 at a time with drag and drop. Is there a way to drag and drop, say parts 10-15, of a generated song?
3) Sampling instruments by clicking on the 3D figure doesn't generate different sounds. For example, I know on a snare if you hit the outside vs the inside, you get different sounds. I saw this get done on JS3, I just can't seem to do with JS4.
I'm also having a lot of difficulty with 12/8 time or any time with triplets. I'm using Ableton, and setting to 12/8 doesn't quite sound like 12/8. So when JS4 syncs with that time signature, it doesn't sound like 12/8 either. What's the best way to get a 12/8 feel?
Thanks for reading and helping. I really like the product and support. |

1) Kit pieces can no longer be moved (at least for now) in Jamstix 4.
2) Ctrl+left click will let you drag your entire song. Look at the information bar in the lower left corner of the GUI while hovering your mouse over your Song Sheet song title.
3) Jamstix 4 doesn't do this or vary velocity by position any longer. You can choose a separate articulation from the dropdown to hear what it sounds like. Velocity is fixed.
I don't use Ableton so I can't help you there, sorry. |

Please do this:
- song menu -> groove weights -> load -> 12/8
- load '6/8 Rock' style from the 'Rock' folder
You can also try the '6/8 Groove' style from the 'Toolbox' folder and manually set kick and snare the way you'd like. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
