I am looking to output jamstix (4) to multiple tracks.
It looks like it should be possible and in my DAW (Studio one) I can select different input tracks for the instrument. So I tried this and then set the downmix to off on the Jamstix mixer. Then I play the song and then go to song > export drag midi > drag the midi to each track. But the midi is the same for each track.
What am I missing here? I am a noob to DAW and very noob to Jamstix.
This must be possible right?
Thanks for reading. |

OK I have found the solution. I will describe it here if anyone else has the same question.
- Create an instrument track
- open the mix menu
- On the left click Instr.
- find your instrument under the instruments menu that opens
- click the arrow next to the instrument
- click expand from the context menu
There you will see all the channels available from Jamstix. Each channel you check will create a new independent channel in the mixer. So you can control the volume, inserts everything for each part of the drum kit individually. There is still only one instrument track.
If you want to at some time convert it all to separate audio tracks you can right click on the main jamstix track and Transform to Audio track.
Then in the menu select the Render all Channels and it creates an audio track for each piece of the drum kit. |

| Thanks for following up on this. I saw your post but have absolutely no experience with Studio One, so I didn't have any helpful advice to offer. |
