I have been using Jamstix3, Jamcussion and Cubase together for years with no problem. Recently I upgraded the computer and cubase is now running under Windows 10. I installed Jamstix 3 and placed the jamsti3.dll file in the Cubase VSTPlugins folder. I went to the Plug-in Manager in Cubase and made sure that folder was in the search path for VST Instruments. However, it keeps showing up as "insrument missing", and I can't use it in Cubase.

I know this must be easy but I can't find what I'm doing wrong.

Can someone please stoop low and help me along my way?

OK, I figured it out: the problem was that the VST-Folder wasn't in the search path of Cubase 8, I had to manually add it, then it worked.
