Jamstix 4 seems to have the same odd behavior with midi export as Jamstix 3.
I'd like to export midi from the song menu. Before I played back the whole song. Af first it works - when I make changes to the song and export it again (overwrite the existing file) there are missing events though this events are composed.
P.S.: I use Cantabile 3 as my live host.

Do you have JS4 on 'FULL' compose mode in the bar editor? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph;
thanks for quick reply - and a happy new year.
Yes, I have JS4 in FULL compose mode. Until now I'm not able to find out under Which circumstances the missing midi events occur.
Normally I play in a jazz rock band and there is a good drummer but sometimes there are ad hoc sessions where not all musicians are available and we already had much fun using Jamstix (if the session is prepaired before). Nothing is better than Jamstix in this case.

P.S.: I could use Jamstix without MIDI-files but there are other problems with the Cantabile3 workflow that makes it complicated to use here (for instance "rack states") |

OK, I found a solution that works for me:
If I'd like to use JS4 with Cantabile3 I prepair the drums on my studio laptop and use audio files.
For jam sessions I'll have to provide a second laptop with a little masterkeyboard.
In both cases JS4 does a great job. |
