I just discovered something that I can't believe I never knew!
Using the mouse wheel on the dots in the grids adjusts the velocity of the hit.
Has it always been like that?
I have used the grids many times. I think they are absolutely awesome for getting a specific groove pattern. Perhaps one of the most powerful elements in Jamstix. The UPick Metal two Bar is great because you can get a two bar pattern.
OK. I just checked JS3 and sure enough it the velocity dots were always like this. I am kicking myself! Of course, the mouse over info even says it but I just never noticed it. _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. | I have to admit I didn't know that either until I watched that user video that was posted a week or two ago. |

Hello Jas. Great tip! Thanks.
I am interested in learning how to get the beat I want for my songs. Quite a few of my songs work on a two bar pattern that repeats as the song goes along.
Your comment here got me thinking that I could also use a two bar pattern in the Bar Editor. Is there any way to get this in a blank starting point? |

Are you talking about manually creating a 2-bar pattern in the bar editor? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yes. Something that I can use as a starting point.
Also Ralph, I tried to add Snare Ghost Notes to the Brain section that does not have that section and it wasn't added like it says in manual. Am I missing something here also? |

Manually edit bars 1 and 2 of an empty part to your liking and then click 'Turn Groove Into Style' in the bar editor menu. You will now see a 'Groove' element in the brain that represents your 2-bar groove. You can add other brain elements or just select the desired drummer to play the groove.

That element gets added to the 'Accent' screen, not the 'Groove' screen. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
