For Jamstix OSX, we have implemented a nifty manager app that downloads and installs all your purchases with one click and also activates your license. We are considering using the same tool for future Windows versions. However, this means your music computer must be connected to the Internet for the installation.
Would this be an issue for you? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I love this feature, especially because I have numerous packs. This (the beta) was the most painless installation BY FAR! |

Not connected. But that isn't a problem as long as there is a way to activate offline with a 2nd computer that is connected. Like Toontrack, IK Multimedia, etc. _________________ Steve L |

| I'll tell ya, it will take a lot less time using the manager than downloading, copying, and installing manually. Totally worth connecting to the internet for a few minutes. |

Downloaded files are cached and there will be fail-safe mode. We also have no intention of going down _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yes! Make it simple and intuitive. I would love not having to keep a program backup, packs backup and license backup, if that's possible.

This would be a great tool. I only connect my DAW to the internet to perform task such as this - otherwise it is disconnected. I would also still like the ability to download, archive, and install the software on my own (I am a bit old school...).

my PC is always connected to the Internet. but i will not support anything that *requires* an internet connection. if this is optional - great, i'll happily use it. but Internet connection only works until it doesn't, and then it's too late. therefore, there must be a fallback.
that said, i would really like for this tool to allow setting up custom paths. i.e. it wouldn't download and install everything into a "default" location but rather allow me to pick the locations myself both for Jamstix data and VST plugin paths. |

| Yes I am connected here. I think this would be a good idea, providing you can choose which folder to place the Jamstix plugin in. I like to keep my third party plugins in their own folder, separate from plugins installed by programmes such as Reaper or Samplitude Music Studio |
