I was experimeting with the Jamstix demo on SX3 and loaded up an audio track of accoustic guitar and vocal that had been recorded without a metronome and so had timing variations throughout. I tapped in a midi track of 1/4 notes and created a tempo track that followed the variations. Unfortunately when using Jamstix the drumming was all over the place until the point where the tempo track stopped changing and Jamstix then started sounding like a drummer again. Can Jamstix handle these tempo changes?

Thanks

Try the latest beta and use the 'Tempo Filter' automation parameter to disable tempo-based filtering. That should help.

Open the automation parameters in SX for Jamstix and the last entry is 'Tempo Filter'.

I downloaded the latest demo which I think was the one I already had and now when I play the Cubase song Jamstix doesn't respond it remains on bar 1. I have the midi track out set to Jamstix and have tried changing to to audio M8 but still it doesn't respond. I have deleted Jamstix from the VST intruments rack and reinserted it but still no drumming. I have closed down SX and when restarting the splash panel for Jamstix comes up and then comes up again when I select Jamstix from the VST panel. I normally use SX3 for tracking so I never use midi and I may be doing something daft here. Rolling Eyes

Please restart your machine and see if the problems disappears. If not, please send me the rzdlog.txt file from your Jamstix directory.

Also, please make sure Jamstix itself is not stopped. Check the play button in the left bottom corner (should be a rectangle not a triangle)

Patience is a virtue. The fact that I sent it to support@rayzoom.com doesn't help.

It was showing a rectangle and I stopped and started it there a few times.

I've got the log. You are not running the latest Beta available here ( http://rayzoon.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=669 ).

You should run Beta X6-6 and it will say 1703 under the golden 'rz' in the top right corner.

Let me now if that beta helps.

I changed to the new dll and it worked OK. I have not had time to tweak it yet as its bed time now in the UK but the timing is right and it not perfect but its following the tempo track OK, before it was just a racket., and of course its working. I dont understand why I have 2 VST folders though as I've only installed SX3 once. Your support is excellent and I shall buy this as soon as my BFD is delivered and I start recording my next CD. Thanks.
