Hi Ralph,

While I appreciate the flexibility of modifying jamstix by tweaking the .ini file, there are times when that is a genuine inconvenience.

For example:

1. I load BFD into jamstix and come up with something I like a lot.

2. Think I'd like to hear it with DKFH

2. Problem is that when I load DKFH, the individual channels are panned hard left/right.

3. This leaves me two options: either drop Voxformer in for the force the channels to mono, or close down jamstic, manually tweak the .ini file

Maybe I am missing a more elegant way around this, but it seems to me that providing a GUI interface for some of these preferences would be very nice. Don't know if its doable, though...

Many of the ini settings were enhancements implemented after the original Jamstix release and could only be done so quick and free by excluding the GUI part.

Jamstix 2 will have GUI controls for most of these settings.

The output number and format of a VSTi plugin cannot be changed without unloading/reloading the plugin so the BFD->DFHS change you described will never be as easy as you'd like but that's a VST limitation.

In Jamstix 2 you will be able to set stereo/mono preferences in the GUI, though.
