|
|
In the process of moving over to Cubase - on latest 8.5. Have both Windows 10 and OSX El Capitan installs.
If I create an Instrument track with Jamstix, load a kit and then click on any of the kit pieces I don't get any sound. But if I click outside the plugin window I hear the last kit piece I clicked.
No sound when running just the instrument track either. Now, if I add a Midi track and route the output of the instrument track to that I do hear playback and I can record that output. However after it's recorded if I go into the Cubase Drum Editor and change any of the notes I don't hear the piece sound when I add the noted.
EZ Drummer does not have this issue. And I tried the same version of Cubase in Windows 10 and it works fine. It only appears to happen on OSX.
Any suggestions? |

| And also checked using Reaper and didn't see this so it must be something related to Cubase on OSX. |

Look for a setting in the audio driver settings with regard to releasing the audio driver when Cubase is not the active application. Uncheck that if you see it. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yes, that box is checked -
Edited: DOH moment for me here...
should have mentioned that as well. And as stated, when you click out of the Edit window into the Cubase Daw itself the last note played sounds loud and clear. It's like it swallows the output. Again, same sequence of steps works in Cubase Windows. And loading it in Reaper works OK as well.
Have also tried using built in sound and a Presonus 22VSL. Same result every time.[/b]

Sorry, I flat out misread it and saw the opposite. Unchecked it and voila! All good. |
