The other day I tried to get a Meters-style groove by combining New Orleans and Backbeat element - and selecting a heavy 16th shuffle.
The problem with this is: I can`t find any knob or control to set also the drum fills to shuffled 16th. Shuffling all the notes seperately is possible for sure, but as I noticed with some experimenting, this only relates to 8 note shuffle. And even this won`t work, if 16th shuffle is selected for the whole part. Know I`m wondering, if this is only a bug or something like that: I mean, if the whole song is in shuffled 16th, shouldn`t fills also play back quantizised that way? Or is this something you can select seperately?

Go to Brain menu->Fill Options and make sure 'No 16th shuffling' is NOT checked.

I guess that would work for this special situation, but in general, proposed I created some midi for Jamstix to play around with. But now I wanted to let jamstix add some, lets say snare. But, for some reason, I don`t want any snares on the fourth beat. i know that in Jamstix you can add hits and lock them, so they won`t get overriden by composing rules. But is the opposite also possible, like keeping a single beat of a single limb free of any hits while recomposing? Is there a like a "rest"- or "non"-event that keeps a special cell in the editor free of any brain-computed hits?

Left-click on the tick in the bar editor and choose 'Keep Beat Silent'. Before you do that decide in the same menu if this should apply to the bar, part or whole song.

But this makes all limbs silent, I think? My problem is in just keeping, lets say, right hand silent - not the whole tick.

Quick thought: take a kit piece you don't need, let's say Jam Block Hi. Set its volume to zero in the kit editor and then place a note for it on the tick and limb you want to be silent. Make sure the note is locked (manual notes are locked by default). That way the brain cannot assign a note to it.
