I remember testing if GarageBand worked with JS when the Mac version was in beta. Ralph did need to make some changes but it did work. I do not use GB, I was just testing it so I cannot remember how you set it up. It's probably like Logic so you have to play with the IAC Buss thing.
I would search the forum for that.
