As I noticed, when you use the "add groove to style" option, this is mainly some additive algorithm. Now supposed I wanted to get that Funky drummer pattern, but without the second kick. So I erase it in one bar and use the "add"-function. Nothing changes - as you can imagine: the second kit comes from the styles standard pattrn alll the time.
What I was thinking about: It is possible to create an empty hit, so i could lock it, and make sure that theres no other hit? Of course theres is that option for keeping the whole (off)beat empty, but i just want to keep one limb clear. Any Ideas?

Not sure I understand but if the second kick comes from the style, you should click on the header of the kick element in the brain and disable it.
