Hi All.

Having a great time using the excellent Jamstix 3 - on windows system with Pro Tools 12. All so far working well Very Happy

I have managed to get Jamsix to play SSD drums on another midi track - works well. What I have done for the time being is just mute the Jamstix track - however that mutes the drums and the Jamcussion.

What I am trying to get to work is :

1) Have Jamstix "Play" my external drums (e.g. SSD, BDF3 etc)

2) Have Jamstix Jamcussion audio still coming through the Jamstix track (since of course many of the Jamcussion things are bespoke to the program).

Cannot quite work out the right way to do this. I think I basically want to send the midi as I am doing now to SSD, mute the internal Jamstix drums, but still play the Jamcussion.

What please is the best way of doing this?

Many thanks

rgs

Mark

p.s. There is nothing wrong with the internal drums by the way - I have the full Jamstix package. Its just that I have loads of external drum packages too and want to ensure I am able to use them all.

Try this:

- in Jamstix mode (drum icon active), click KIT window
- right-click anywhere in the kit
- choose 'Set All To MIDI Output Only'

This will keep Jamstix from playing the drum sounds but still send out MIDI data. The Jamcussion sounds will continue to play on the Jamstix audio outputs.

Hey thanks for the quick response!

Yep that works Very Happy

Actually I worked around it when I realised I could mute all the drums on the mixer, except the percussion.

This is the single best piece of musical software I have ever used. Period.
