Hi, I'm using Cubase 6.
I had songs I'd created using Jamstix 3.3 that weren't loading using Jamstix 3.6. A search on the forum said to revert back to 3.3 and save the Jamstix song file.
I attempted to do this by uninstalling 3.6 and reinstalling 3.3, but received the message ERROR: Cannot open core event.
I'd saved a system image before the change and reverted back to that. Unfortunately the same message is still there.
What I want to do is do a clean reinstall of 3.3 but I seem to have Jamstix install files on both C and D drives and I'm guessing I've got file versions muddled somewhere.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Hi Dissonance,
Yeah, tried that.
And setting folders to read/write all.
No dice.
Thanks for the input though.
Cheers. |

Uninstalled Jamstix then scoured the hard drive removing every reference I could find.
Clean install of 3, then 3.3 and drum kits.
All good! |

I updated to Windows 10 and am using Calkwalk Home Studio 7XL. On existing songs that used JS 3.6 in Windows 7, will not open JS 3.6 track in Windows 10.
The error message: ERROR: Cannot open core event
Any suggestions?
Thanks |

| Hi codger77, Try turning off User Account Control in Win 10 and set permissions for your C:\jamstix3 folder to "Everyone". |
