At the bottom of page 45 of the manual (heading 14.9.3), which describes the bar menu, the following two submenus are described:
“The Locking submenu deals with locking specific events so that they are not affected by recomposing by the brain. Compared to locking the whole bar, this allows a mixed mode where some events are locked and others are generated by the brain. This submenu also has a toggle that determines whether manually placed events are immediately locked or not.
The Import submenu gives you the ability to import a Jamstix 1 fill or a MIDI file fill into this bar.”
I am using version 3.6.1 of Jamstix and I do not see either of these submenus. Is there another way to access this functionality or have those features been removed? |

Hi,
In the Groove window bar dropdown, Click Edit and then you'll see the Locking choices.
In the Fill window bar dropdown, the Import choices are there.
A lot of things in the manual are outdated but if you ask in the forum you'll almost always get an answer. |

| The only options I see under the Edit menu are “Lock All Events”, “Unlock All Events”, and “Auto-Lock Manually Created Events.” It looks like the functionality as described in the manual for locking/unlocking individual events has been removed. It looks like the only way to selectively lock events is to have “Auto-Lock Manually Created Events” turned on and then it will lock any events that are manually entered. But there doesn't seem to be a way to edit the locking after the fact. It would at least be nice if there were locking options on the limbs (rows) in the editor. |

| I think CTRL+Left click will lock an individual event but I don't have access to my rig right now to check. Give that a try. |
