Hi,

I am running 3.6.1 [x64] on a W7 PC.

I have been using JS with SSD lately but wanted to use it with BFD2 again. It has been a while since I used JS/BFD2 together. I seem to recall that under Kits> BFD, there was a Vistalite kit that I used but I no longer see that kit. I see on Kit called BFD 2 and the remaining Kits are all "BFD 3..."

I guess I forgot to backup my Jamstix folder prior to upgrading so I cannot locate the old kits. Is there a way to get the old BFD 2 like or at least the Vistalite kit? Or is there a new method for using JS with BFD 2 now?

I did try the BFD 2 kit and not all sounds are lining up with the kit I loaded in BFD2.

Thanks
Brian

Using the BFD2 kit in JS, please adjust the MIDI note assignments for the Vistalite kit in the JS kit editor as needed and then save the kit for future use.

Ralph,

I do not understand what you are saying. I do not have a Vistalite Kit. When I hit Load on the Kit page and open BFD, I see:

BFD 2
BFD 3 - Blues
.
.
BFD 3 - Jazz

All but the first is for BFD 3. So I have just the one BFD 2 kit.

I used have a BFD Vistalite kit here but at some point I removed it, or it was removed during an upgrade. Not sure.

Are you saying load the one and only BFD 2 I have and then change each piece including all articulations to match what the old Vistalite kit used? If so where do I get this info?

Thanks
Brian

Or are you referring to the Vistalite kit in the BFD 2 plugin?

So load the Vistalite kit in BFD 2, then look at the MIDI assigments for each hit/articulation in that kit and then change the BFD 2 kit in JS Editor so it matches? Then save this a new JS kit?

If so this seems like a lot of work not I cannot do it but I thought this was already done in an earlier kit in Jamstix already. This is the kit I no longer see in JS.

It has been a while since I tried using JS with BFD so maybe I am remembering this incorrectly.
