|
|
Hello,
I previously had jamstix3 demo working on this pc with cakewalk guitar tracks pro 4.
I had to replace the harddrive and reinstall everything and now I can't get the jamstix3 demo to work.
I've tried installing it to c:\jamstix and setting that directory to be scanned by the sequencer program.
I've tried installing it to the vst plugin folder that the program uses, where the other vst plugins are.
I've tried both the 32bit and 64bit versions.
The sequencer program will not recognize the plugin (it recognizes all the other vst plugins in the directory, just not jamstix).
I can't find any installation instructions and I did have it working before.
What am I doing wrong? |

Ok I've got it to work, I don't understand, it makes no sense to me and it would take me several pages to explain everything I done, but it's working now.
Basically it would not recognize it no matter where I installed it, until I installed it to the directory of another vst plugin, to "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Studio Instruments\jamstix3" and scanned "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk", then it recognized it, "studio instruments" is a separate vst plugin, (installing to "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\jamstix3" and scanning "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk" did not work), so it came up in guitar tracks then but gave an error "ERROR: Cannot open core event", I had to move it to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Jamstix3" and then it worked, (installing directly to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Jamstix3" folder and scanning "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins" never recognized it, but then installing to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Studio Instruments\jamstix3" didn't work either). ... I am not even going to try to understand.
Only took several days, and several headaches, but oh well it works now. |
