Please forgive me if this question has been asked before. Jamstix 3 playback works intuitively when hosted inside my DAW, but when I use Jamstix 3 in a VST host such as Hermann Seib's SAVIHost or Blue Cat Audio's Patchwork standalone host, I am frustrated by the host song position.

I would like to set the song position manually or rewind it to the beginning, but this is not easy to do in a VST host which has no real concept of song structure: there is no song beginning or end; the VST playback head just continues to run forward in time at the appropriate BPM rate.

I can force SAVIHost to reset itself to the very beginning by stopping and re-starting the engine, unfortunately I can find no such workaround in the Patchwork standalone host.

Does Jamstix 3 have any facility for working differently with a simple VST host? Perhaps a way to select a special mode such that when I set the song position in the Jamstix transport controller while the padlock is unlocked, Jamstix syncs up the song position properly perhaps by sending some sort of rewind and seek messages to the VST host, or perhaps by ignoring the absolute song position reported by the VST host and instead synchronizing in a relative fashion to the song's bar position?

Unfortunately, there is nothing Jamstix can do to affect the song position of the host. Reinterpreting of song position based on user clicks within Jamstix is theoretically doable but non-trivial and it would be hard for us to justify the effort Sad
