We are working on an AAX 64-bit version of Jamstix for PC and OSX. Any interested PT11 users, please let me know if you'd like to test-drive it. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Would prefer PC for now, although I'm in the process of evaluating a move to OSX. |

I'd very much like to test drive an aax 64 bit version on a PC.
Btw: version 3.6 beta29 does not work in PT11 using Bluecat Patchwork. I'm unable to record midi output from Jamstox onto another track as notes are dropped in the process. |

In the process of testing this out I found it wasn't quite as intuitive to drive my EZDrummer plugin as I thought it would be. Had only done this in Reaper up until this point.
I used this set of steps with the JS 3.6 beta, EZDrummer 2 (64) and Pro Tools 11.1.2 (64).
* Bring up the new track dialog via Track → New or by Ctrl + Shift + N.
* Create two new stereo instrument tracks.
* Click in one of the inserts slots for the Jamstix track. In the drop down menus select Multichannel Plugin → Instrument → Rayzoon Jamstix 3.
* The Jamstix interface will be displayed. Load or create a song then move to the Kit tab. Open the selection dialog and select Toontrack → EZDrummer.
* Move to the Mixer tab. Select MIDI Only, located just below the displayed kit.
* Now move to an insert slot above the EZDrummer track. Select Multichannel Plugin → Instrument -> Ezdrummer.
* The Ezdrummer dialog will now open up. Click on a drum to make sure you are getting sound.
* Return to the Pro Tools interface. In the Jamstix track to the right of the Comments column you will see the Instrument column. Hover the mouse pointer over each of the two drop down menus to the left. The top one will display as Midi Input, the bottom one Midi Output. Make sure the input selector is set to “All” and the output selector is set to Jamstix Channel 1.
* In the EZDrummer track, Set the Midi input menu to Jamstix Out → Channel 1. Set the Midi Output to EZDrummer 1-Channel-1.
* Audio input selectors for both can be set to no input. The audio outputs can stay Main Out L-R as well.
* Arm the EZDrummer track so it is in recording mode and the red record button is flashing.
* Now go to the transport window and click the Play button. The Jaxstix song should now play using the EZDrummer defined drums.
I think that's got it all... |

Ugh...So I ended up reloading my iMac with Mavericks and so far everything has been great. I've loaded up Pro Tools 11 and gone back to doing things the way I have before (which is the same routing mentioned above) but now for some reason things are amiss. I'm routing Jamstix output to SSD 4 and this used to work beautifully.
Now when I set it up it's like things get out of sync. The weird part is if I stop the Daw from playing and then use the bar preview loop in Jamstix to work on a bar everything plays fine and SSD triggers with no issues at all. Then when I Recrord Arm the track and hit play in Pro Tools it sounds nothing like the bar I just previewed and is missing hits.. hits are late, etc. Any quick ideas as to what I may be missing here?

| Yup! I found that if I set the project to anything higher than 48k that would happen. 44.1 or 48 works just fine. I only have this issue in Pro Tools. Logic X and Studio One can do 96k no problem. |
