Ugh.. ok so I reloaded my system... and now I'm running Yosemite. Prior to the reload everything Jamstix related was working fine. Now I've got nothing but problems trying to use Jamstix. Sad As usual, I'm using Jamstix to driver Steven Slate Drums 4.

I first tried using JS in Pro Tools 11 like I before. I can get everything set up and routed fine. If I use the Bar looper in Jamstix to work on a bar everything plays fine and SSD plays away.. however if I stop the bar looper and then hit play in Pro Tools things go WAY haywire. It's like it gets completely out of sync and I only hear random drum hits once in a while, and not what was just playing in the Loop preview.. not even close.

I then figured I would try out Logic Pro X and did all the stuff that I remembered us doing during the beta. I remembered to create the Jamstix IAC port, check the environment in the project, however nothing I do gets Jamstix to trigger SSD4. I'm at a complete loss here...

I haven't tried Studio One yet.. but I will soon. I need to walk away from this for a bit.. I'm completely frustrated at this point. Am I forgetting/missing something with Pro Toos and Logic here Ralph?

Jeff

As soon as I can, I'll check this out and report back what I find.

Slight update for you Ralph. I gave it another shot today.. changed my interface from my Eleven Rack to my PreSonus Firebox to see if that would make any difference.. no change in Pro Tools or Logic. Pro Tools still only plays about 1/4 of the notes that it should be... Logic Pro X.. can't for the life of me get the routing to work.

Fired up Studio One and as to be expected with S1.. routing from Jamstix to SSD work flawlessly! Only problem I did run into in S1 was that the Jamstix window caused drawing issues on the screen. I ended up with a white box on the screen after closing the JS plugin window.. the white box stayed on the screen- even after minimizing S1 to the tray. The white box didn't go away until I completely shut down S1.

Do you think I'm running into all these issues because of Yosemite?

Yet another update.. I believe that I have found the issue with Pro Tools going completely out of sync! I was working with the project at 96k for whatever reason.. I usually never go that high.. 44.1 or 48 usually. I started a new project with 44.1 and it was perfect. Closed and created a new project at 48k and it too was fine. Anything higher than that and it goes out of sync.

Still having issues with Logic Pro X.... no matter what I do I cannot get the environment to send the midi data from Jamstix to SSD.
** Logic update.. ugh.. figured it out. When I created the IAC bus I labeled it 'Jamstix' instead of 'JAMSTIX'.. fixing the case seemed to make the difference.
