| how do i get the fills to play back at the same volume as the rest of the drum track? |

Several choices:
1) Automate Song Power level in your host during the fills.
2) Draw a custom dynamics curve in the Velocity Behavior window for the Kit pieces involved.
3) The Min/Max volume controls in the Velocity Behavior window.
4) Compression plug in on your drum bus.
Automating Song Power level is easiest IMO since it affects the entire kit for the exact time and duration you need it to. |

On the fills page, in the brain element "character", "power mode".
Page 39 of the manual describes each setting. "Power" setting seems appropriate for your case.
