|
|
I create tempo maps for songs when needed.
However, is there a way to do something in Jamstix like say when the Chorus plays, Reaper automatically plays the Chorus a little faster and in addition, updates the DAW about the change to keep things in sync?
I do not recall seeing this in the manual.
I am not sure what protocol is used between Reaper and DAWs. Or if it can communicate in both directions.
Maybe an option like Tempo Master since I suspect only one piece of SW should do this function, DAW or Reaper.
Thanks

| No, that can't be done. The host (Reaper) is the master and the plugin (JS) is the slave. The slave always follows the master. |

| I just thought of a possible option. What if you have jamstix send out a midi note by playing drum sound with zero volume and then have that midi note trigger a tempo change in reaper via another vst plugin or maybe custom actions? |

Interesting idea. I will have to read up on how to do this. |
