I had Jamstix and SSD 4 loaded on a channel;
I dragged a pattern into Reaper;
I tried to play it back, and I got an effect of double triggering offset by an 1/8th note, unselecting Jamstix on the channel did not stop it, and the gui was gone and yielded the above error message. |

Why did you want to drag the pattern to the host? I am asking to advise you better on the optimal workflow for your needs.
Generally, if you play back MIDI from the host with Jamstix, you need to switch Jamstix to drum module mode (no jam button depressed). _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I was trying to drag parts over in order to save takes that I liked that Jamstix came up with. I had been turning off Jamstix on the channel to listen back via AD2, which I had been triggering from Jamstix.
I suppose Jamstix accepts incoming midi even when not in "jam" mode? A midi feedback loop, I should have dragged to an empty track, sorry. |

You can turn off 'MIDI Play In Jam' in the Jamstix OPTIONS to avoid a MIDI loop in your scenario. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
