I've imported the MIDI file for an entire song created with Superior Drummer over at a friend's place. When I import the MIDI into Jamstix 3.6. It doesn't sound right.
I don't even know the terminology to use. Please help. |

I recommend this:
- break the MIDI into song parts (verse, chorus etc.) and save each part as a separate MIDI file
- create the parts in Jamstix using 'Import' style
- import each MIDI file into the corresponding part using the 'EZ Drummer' import layout option _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I am trying to make some backing tracks and have been downloading midi files and I am just using the drum tracks and bass tracks. When let JamTrax take the midi file and create a drum track it does a really nice job. (I have JamTrax 2.5. ) At issue is the intro and outro. I'd like them to be pretty close to the original midi. If I separate those sections how do I get JamTrax to stick closer to the original? Also what would be my path to upgrade from 2.5? |

If you have an original intro and outro then don't use the INTRO and ENDING styles and part types in Jamstix. Instead, use normal parts and import your originals just as you do for the normal grooves. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Okay I think I figured it out. I take the original midi file in Sonar and cut it at the intro and outro and make those midi grooves and then import those into the intro and outro measures. |
