|
|
Hi, I keep getting audio drop-outs (Jamstix 3.6.1 x64 hosted by REAPER 64bit v4.78 or v5.0rc3 on Win 7 64bit) where the FX CPU reportedly gets >100% used by Jamstix....
I've tried setting Load on demand OFF and it is no better. I've also tried setting jamstix.exe priority to high in task manager and it is better - but not entirely fixed.
So, until this is fixed by Ralph, how do I get Jamstix.exe to run with high priority without manually setting it via task manager please?
Thanks,
Paul. |

Hi Keys,
If you're comfortable doing a registry hack:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\Jamstix.exe]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\Jamstix.exe\PerfOptions]
"CpuPriorityClass"=dword:00000003
Copy/Paste into a txt doc and change the extension to .reg then run it. Answer yes if you trust me when Windows asks for permission. |

Great tip thanks azimuth - edited it straight into the registry with regedit and works perfectly. Jamstix now with high priority has less cpu spikes/dropouts!
Thanks again. Paul. |

Thanks, Azimuth!
The next update will also have the priority on high automatically. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
