With Jamstix now having the capability for 8 stereo outputs, when I wrap in Tracktion I still see just the 4 (stereo 8 mono) outs. Is there something else I need to do?

Jamstix can go as high as 17 stereo outputs. After you change the setting in the mapping tab, you need to unload/reload your project for it to take effect since output communication between host and plugin occurs only at plugin loading time. You should then see all the outputs in the Tracktion rack.

okay...

I added jamstix to track... I've gone to the mapping tab and used most of the 17 outputs...

I wrapped jamstix in a rack filter and I see 8 mono outs...

I saved the project...

reopened the project, looked at the rack and still can only map to 8 outs...

What am I doing wrong?

Create a new rack (not loading a project saved with 8 monos) and add Jamstix and you will see all outputs.

Doesn't work..

I start a new project...

I create a new rack...

I drag Jamstix to the rack...

I see 8 mono ouputs...

I can look at Jamstix and see outputs 1 to 17 but not on the rack.

Sounds like you didn't actually change the number of outputs. Please go to the mapping tab, look at the sounds panel and change the Outputs selector from 4 to 8. Now unload Jamstix and reload it and you will have 8 stereo/16 mono outputs.

By the way, you should only select as many outputs as you really need since they all consume resources in Jamstix as well as the host.
