|

I've never used the MIDI export feature before, so I can't say if this is new with 3.6 or not. Anyway...
My exported MIDI files have some sections blank (looks like one full rep of a part each time) and don't actually render the entire song - I'm working on a four minute project and the MIDI file only has the first minute or so.
Project: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7231524/Death%20On%20Black%20Wings.j2d
MIDI: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7231524/Death%20On%20Black%20Wings.mid
I had the same thing happen with a completely different project last night as well. Re-rendering gives the exact same length and missing sections.
I'm running Windows 8 x64, Reaper 4.62 x64, Jamstix 3.6 x32 if it's of use.
Cheers. |

Hi Loka_senna,
Did you try dragging and dropping the JS song to a track in Reaper? That's what I do and it works perfectly. I've never used the export in JS either. |

| I've actually never been able to drag/drop from Jamstix, over a few different OS/DAW/JS setups. No idea why. |

Hi Loka_senna,
Drag & drop was just reintroduced in v.3.6 so that might be part of the reason it didn't work for you before. Ctrl+left drag the song title (or song part) to your track in Reaper should work. If not, it's time for Ralph. |

Good to know. I didn't even realize we'd ever had it before it got taken away :/
Unfortunately, I'm getting the same result with dragging. Trying it on another song just now, I got a MIDI item with the right overall length but only the last section had any notes. |

| That sucks. If Ralph doesn't see this thread by Monday I would send an e-mail direct to support@rayzoon.com describing the problem. Sometimes these threads get lost in the shuffle. |

Are you sure JS has had a chance to compose the entire song? As the brain composes it on the fly, some parts that were never actually played might still be "empty".

| Aha, that did it. I've definitely played through the whole song before, and the parts all had notes in the timeline view at the bottom left, but I guess fiddling with some of the earlier parts and adding/removing a section or two must have reset everything after that. |
