I think I may have found a weird bug. I've already sent an email to support, but I wanted to confirm if anyone else is seeing this.
When I have Jamstix open in the effects panel, any time I click on something in the UI, it steals focus away from Reaper. That doesn't seem like a big problem, but Reaper (at least in my setup) automatically closes the audio device whenever Reaper another program has focus. So what happens is that every time I touch the UI, my audio stops working. Can anyone else confirm this is happening? I could probably change that option in Reaper, but I kind of find it useful, especially if I have to change to a different program to do something while a CPU hungry project is loaded. I hope that makes sense. It sounded easier to explain in my head |

Hi,
That is normal and will happen if you have the "Close audio device when stopped and application is inactive" enabled. Uncheck it under Preferences>Audio to change that behavior. |

| Hi. Thanks for the reply, but I think you misread my post. I have that option on purposely as I find it very handy if I have to switch to another application. I have used it since I started using Reaper. What's different is that I can't adjust anything in Jamstix without Reaper losing focus. This never happened before 3.6 and it doesn't happen with any other vst or vsti. For instance, I can open the Addictive Drums panel and make adjustments or click on a kit piece to hear it. If I click on a kit piece in Jamstix, it steals focus and shuts down the audio device, even inside Reaper's own effect window. Does that make more sense? Sorry if I was unclear earlier. I may have to disable that option temporarily in Reaper, but I hope to be able to use it again soon. |

Jamstix 3.6 runs in a separate process from REAPER. That's why there is a focus transfer and why REAPER thinks it should close the audio device. Sorry for the inconvenience! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Hey, thanks for the reply. I turned off the option for shutting down the audio device and used it for a while. I turned the option back on to do some test, but now it's working as normal just like it used to. Go figure. Anyway, thanks for the help. |
