Am trying the JS3 demo. Have Addictive Drums demo and licensed BFD2 installed. Trying to figure out how JS3 works with these. Not sure at all what to expect. Have read the JS3 QuickStart, but that doesnt explain anything.

Do this:

- load BFD2 into SONAR
- add a MIDI track to SONAR with input=jamstix and output=BFD2
- in Jamstix, go to KIT and load BFD2 kit

Make sure to check 'Enable MIDI Output' in the SONAR 'Insert Soft Synth Options' when adding Jamstix to the project.

That is some small progress, but very far from being complete.

I think I have an understanding of Jamstix as a standalone, but I have no idea what Jamstix is supposed to do for me when using with an e-drummer such as BFD2. I have no clue what to expect to even know if it is working properly.

Currently, after these little fixes, I am getting some connection to BFD, and some sound. But that's it. I have investigated the key mapping, but that is strange. The JS visual drum kit only shows key maps for the cymbals, not the drums, so I dont get that. They are all set to Midi Output Only.

You should simply hear BFD2 sounds instead of JS sounds.

For drums with multiple articulations, you need to select the desired articulation for which to change the MIDI key. You can also get a quick overview of all keys in use by clicking 'Show Key Map' in the kit menu.
