I create tempo maps for songs when needed.

However, is there a way to do something in Jamstix like say when the Chorus plays, Reaper automatically plays the Chorus a little faster and in addition, updates the DAW about the change to keep things in sync?

I do not recall seeing this in the manual.

I am not sure what protocol is used between Reaper and DAWs. Or if it can communicate in both directions.

Maybe an option like Tempo Master since I suspect only one piece of SW should do this function, DAW or Reaper.

Thanks
Brian

No, that can't be done. The host (Reaper) is the master and the plugin (JS) is the slave. The slave always follows the master.

I just thought of a possible option. What if you have jamstix send out a midi note by playing drum sound with zero volume and then have that midi note trigger a tempo change in reaper via another vst plugin or maybe custom actions?

Interesting idea. I will have to read up on how to do this.
