can't get JS to play the imported midi file

Hi...having a heck of a job with this..loaded an ez drummer midi file into JS remembering to click on ezdrummer in the load midi groove window but JS plays only half the file..no snare, I'm aware that it's probably a mapping thing (and this is where I start to get lost) so I looked at the map in JS and it seems the snare is on D3 so moved the snare in the midi file to D3 but still no snare..so I'm stuffed, any help out there please?
